Certified B Corporations are for-profit companies that have been verified to show that they meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
SXOLLIE is proud to be a B Corp, alongside great brands like The Body Shop, Patagonia, Sipsmith and Aesop. From the start, we have been using SXOLLIE as a tool to enact change in the world, whether it be supporting suppliers to create long term economic development and employment opportunities in South Africa, uplifting youth, or by creating a natural product with no added nasties and lower carbon footprint than our competitors.
But we’re not alone here - there are literally 1000’s of B Corps around the world. Here are a few of our favourite food and drink brands for you to discover.
Gousto
Our SXOLLIE team are a busy bunch, that’s why more than 1⁄2 of us use Gousto. Perfectly measured out ingredients mean almost zero food waste in the home. A Gousto box reduces your carbon footprint by a whopping 23% compared to the same shop at a supermarket.
Punchy
We’ve loved the guys from Punchy since 2019 when we did a workshop together. They make non-alcoholic soft drinks that actually taste great, look beautiful and are 100% natural. They do good by donating 1% of sales and their stock each year to charity.
Innocent Drinks
We often refer to SXOLLIE as the Innocent of cider, with both of us using 100% fresh pressed juice. We also love them because their packaging is 100% recyclable plus bottles are made from 50% recycled plastic and 15% plant plastic.
Days
When Jack’s housemate (one of our SXOLLIE team) started working at Days we didn’t know much about them... until we met this incredible team. They truly care about mental health and donate 2% of sales of their alcohol free beer towards progressive mental health initiatives. Titled ‘Days Duty’ it mirrors the Duty that alcohol companies pay in tax to the Government.
Jude’s
Anyone up for carbon negative ice-cream this year? Hey Juuuuuuude, don’t make it hard (to stay healthy)!
Dr Wills
We and Dr Wills are kindred spirits, refusing to add sugar to our products and keeping it au naturel! Their tomato sauce for us is a game changer - fish & chips will never be the same again!
Teapigs
Around the corner from SXOLLIE HQ we have teapigs. From giving back to tea growing communities through an ethical scheme, to fully plant based packaging, they are certainly changing the way we drink tea.
Pip & Nut
Founded by a passionate runner, the delicious, palm-oil free natural peanut butter (amongst other nut butters) is all about positive energy.
The Uncommon
Stylish cans, filled with unbelievably delicious English sparkling wine that’s sustainably made from their hand-picked grapes grown in Kent, Surrey and Hampshire - hello picnic must-have!
Toast Ale
A social enterprise brewery that brews planet-saving beer with surplus fresh bread and all profits go to charities fixing the food system.
